Shreyas Iyer informed the media during the third Border-Gavaskar Test match in Indore that spending a few more hours during his exercises made his back injury worse.

This came as a result of the Delhi Test being finished in the first three days, same as the Nagpur Test. During the break between the two Test matches, the players were focused on maintaining their fitness levels, according to Shreyas Iyer.
The athletes practised at home a few times before to the third exam. Maintaining our level of fitness is important. I was quite busy with a couple picture shoots as well, but those are not as significant to us as this one. That was a great opportunity to refresh.
