Pakistan will host the 2023 Asia Cup, according to the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The event, which will follow a T20 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka the following year, is scheduled to be played in the ODI format. The choices were made at an ACC meeting that took place on Thursday, October 15 in Dubai.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), as it has been insisting in recent times, has proclaimed that it will not organise the tournament at a neutral venue, but in Pakistan only. This was acknowledged during the ACC meeting, which was presided over by Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI.

The competitions’ specific calendar will be determined soon, however the 50-over Asia Cup will be held within India’s designated 50-over World Cup year. The Asia Cup will naturally take place in the middle of 2023, with the IPL slated for the first half of the year, while the ICC World Cup is scheduled for October to November of that year.
The T20 Asia Cup and T20 World Cup will both be held in Australia in October and November of next year. In September, most likely, the ACC hopes to host the T20 Asia Cup before that international competition.
