Dinesh Karthik: Confident of Mohammad Siraj’s place in ODI team

Dinesh Karthik, a seasoned Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, recently praised Mohammed Siraj, a member of the RCB, for his 2022 with the ball for India, which helped him rise to the top ODI bowler in the world rankings. The Indian pacer will surely play in the forthcoming 50-over World Cup, according to Dinesh Karthik.

Mohammed Siraj has made significant progress with the ball at the highest level and has benefited from a lengthy run with the national team, particularly in the 50-over format the previous year. Dinesh Karthik believes that Siraj, who has shown himself in the international stage with regular performances, was given a fire in his belly by the dismal IPL 2022.

In addition to his ball skills, Siraj’s drive and determination to succeedare a key factor in his success, along with the side. If the Hyderabad-born pacer can keep himself in shape, according to Karthik, he may develop into one of India’s top fast bowlers in red-ball cricket, where he envisions him getting 300 wickets.

I’m absolutely sure that he would be part of the 2023 World Cup team. He merits that position; he has performed admirably. He learned a lot about dealing with failures during the 2022 IPL, and it has served him well. In Cricbuzz’s “Rise of New India,” Karthik stated, “I envision him as one of those — let’s just suppose he doesn’t have injuries — at least a 300-wicket Test bowler.”

His most potentOne-day matches in Test cricket will follow that. Where he is still studying is T20s: Karthik
Siraj may be the best bowler on the ODI circuit, but according to Karthik, the youthful pacer still has a lot to learn about playing in the game’s shorter formats. The seasoned cricketer believes that his RCB teammate will become more proficient in the shorter formats of the game over time and is more acclimated to the longest format.

He most clearly possesses the aptitude and skill set needed for it. The only question is whether he can maintain his fitness for that long. He has demonstrated his dependability thus far. One-day matches will follow Test cricket, which is his strongest sport. He is still present in T20s.learning,” continued Karthik.
