Gautam Gambhir, the coach of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), lavished KL Rahul with accolades at the jersey launch for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The franchise will be seen sporting a totally new avatar for the new season under the leadership of keeper-batter Rahul with only a few weeks left until the grandiose event gets underway.
LSG coach Gambhir praised the captain during the unveiling of their new uniform, calling the team “lucky” to have Rahul as their captain.
We are quite blessed to have someone with KL Rahul’s levelheadedness. I didn’t have that, but I wish I had. Although I was quite harsh, it did work for me.me. It’s critical to have someone like KL in charge of a brand like Lucknow. This will help us much going ahead, said Gambhir during the debut of the LSG uniform for the upcoming season.
Captain is where it all begins. The team’s flag bearer is the captain. The group is the captain’s. In the dressing room, he has the support of everyone. The captain is under more strain than any member of the support staff. The captain’s body language will determine how well we do, he continued.
LSG intends to have a better season in 2023
It’s important to remember that KL Rahul and company enjoyed a successful season after debuting in 2022. LSGfinished the league phase in third place in the points standings and suffered a defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator match.
Rahul’s recent performance with the bat has generated a lot of speculation, and the upcoming edition will definitely scrutinise his performance. When they begin their season on April 1 against Delhi Capitals, the team will want to have a better season. In addition, LSG strengthened the team through the mini-auction held in December, which included the services of players like Nicholas Pooran, Jaydev Unadkat, and Naveen-ul-Haq.
