Gautam Gambhir: Praised Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli displayed good batsmanship despite only scoring 44 and 20 in the first and second innings of the second Test in Delhi. In the first innings, the former India captain looked outstanding against the Australian spinners, but a contentious call by on-field umpire Nitin Menon ended his painstakingly constructed performance.

Sunil Gavaskar and Gautam Gautam, two former cricketers, were quite delighted by Kohli’s batting and think that he is just a few inches away from ending his century drought in Test cricket. At the Eden Gardens in 2019, he last played against Bangladesh in the longest format of the game.

Now, even though they haven’t been able to score many runs in the last two games,On Day 3 of the second Test, Kohli set a new record for the fastest player to reach 25,000 runs in international cricket. The 34-year-old needed 549 innings instead of Sachin Tendulkar’s 577 to accomplish the accomplishment. The ranking also includes Mahela Jayawardena (608) and Ricky Ponting (588 innings), Jacques Kallis (594 innings), and Kumar Sangakkara (608 innings) (701 innings).

In response to Kohli’s distinctive feet, Gambhir praised the cricketer and noted that he has been successful in every circumstance. He praised Kohli for maintaining consistency throughout and noted that getting 25000 runs in international play is no small feat.

“I’m not sure about the list, but the best thing about Virat Kohli is that he has consistently done well in South Africa, Australia, and India. One will beRegardless of whether there is an Australia (sic) or a South African on the list, you must also compare their populations on the subcontinent. Although Kohli is a pro at the 50-over game, he has also excelled in Test cricket, scoring 27 hundreds and 28 fifty runs. He has hundreds in the West Indies, South Africa, Australia, and England. What else are you capable of?

25 000 runs scored is no joke. Although he has experienced many ups and downs, he has remained steady. Several changes are made to your game. Your posture, technique, strengths, limitations, method of dismissal, and emotions all change as you play, and if you can account for all of that, control all of that, and score these many runs.if so, you are fantastic, Gambhir said on Star Sports.
