Harbhajan Singh: Jadeja and Ashwin will complete India’s job in first Test

According to former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, Team India can depend on spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja to win the first Test at Nagpur in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 with ease.

India won the four-match series 2-1 in 2020–21, making them the current Border–Gavaskar Trophy champions. India staged a comeback even back then after initially dropping the first Test at the Adelaide Oval. Since they last won a series back in 2004, Australia’s Test cricket records in India haven’t been terrific.

Tomorrow’s match, in my opinion, will be won by India’s spinners: “I believe Ashwin will pick up the most wickets, and Jadeja will also have some,” said Harbhajan Singh. This pair of spinners will receive thecarried out. Ashwin will probably start with the new ball because they have a lot of left-handed pitchers. In a video uploaded to his YouTube page, the 42-year-old stated, “I believe the spinners will win the match for India tomorrow.

The Aswhin-Jadeja pair greatly impressed the former spinner on Day 1 of the first Test, and he declared that with such an assured start to the series, particularly by this tandem, it would unquestionably be upon them to carry India home in the first Test. In the first innings, the spin twins each took home 8 wickets, with Jadeja taking home a spectacular finisher.

In addition, Harbhajan singled out all-around player Ravindra Jadeja for special attention. The 34-year-showing old’s of his all-around abilities was astounding.in the first Test to perfection. According to Harbhajan, Jadeja essentially gave forth a blueprint for how to play Test cricket with this performance.

“He used the ball to take five wickets. However, the innings he played were really fantastic. Jadeja’s uninhibited entrance and continued striking was out of the ordinary. Both his defence and his step over were strong. He demonstrated the manner in which Test cricket is played,” he added.
