Harmanpreet: Ready for the match against Australia in the semi-finals

In a rain-shortened match, Team India, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, narrowly defeated Ireland to advance to the semifinals of the Women’s T20 World Cup currently taking place in South Africa. In the semifinal match, the Ladies in Blue will take on the tough Australian team, and the Indian captain has vowed to give his squad their all in the contest against the reigning champs.

Team India defeated Ireland using the D/L system, winning by a score of 5 runs, to advance to their third straight T20 World Cup semi-final. But, they will play Australia in their following game, a dependable adversary who has frequently proven to be a challenge too great for the Asian team.

While Harmanpreet Kaur is aware of the challenge that awaits her team, she is convinced that they must give it their best when playing the reigning champions.Although Kaur described the game as a “do or die” situation, she nevertheless expected her team to rise to the challenge.

“(It) Means a lot, we work hard, and we want to succeed anytime we have the chance. It’s good to go to the semifinals, and we’ll give it our all. We always look forward to playing them. We want to play good cricket because it would be a do-or-die situation, Harmanpreet said at the post-game awards ceremony.
