Hasan Ali stunned everyone by dismissing Irfan Khan during Friday’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings. Irfan appeared to be in great shape, and after hitting 30 from 20 deliveries, he attempted another slog but mistimed it slightly. After flying for kilometres, the ball appeared to be another maximum. Hasan, on the other hand, had other ideas, finishing the catch beautifully at the boundary and casually passing it to Rassie Van Der Dussen before crossing the line. The third umpire evaluated the dismissal and determined it to be flawless.
Imad Wasim shone out for Karachi Kings, scoring 92 off 54 balls to help his team reach 201. Karachi made a good start to the match, scoring 61 runs in the power play overs and comfortably maintaining the run rate despite losing three wickets.
Wasim and Irfan Khan put together a spectacular 99-run combination, which was eventually ended by the great fielding effort. The bowlers for Islamabad United battled with line and length, with Tom Curran taking two wickets for 43 runs.
Karachi is currently fifth in the standings, having won only two of their seven games. Islamabad, on the other hand, has three wins in five games and is in a somewhat better place in the league rankings.
