Ian Chappell: Praises Ashwin for his recent successful innings

After overwhelming Australia in the first two Tests of the series, Team India was able to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In every game they played, the Australians were utterly outplayed by the hosts because they were unable to get control of the situation.

Spin was a key element in India’s victory over Australia. The visitors were unable to withstand the threat that Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja presented. The fact that India was able to keep the trophy was largely due to Ashwin’s outstanding performances.

The visitors’ sole successes against India so far have come from Todd Murphy and Nathan Lyon; Australia’s spinners were also brilliant. Ian Chappell, a former captain of Australia, recently spoke out about Jadeja, Ashwin, andthe effect they were able to produce

They attempt to the skill far too frequently . Speaking of Ashwin and Jadeja, they are quite knowledgeable about Indian culture. No matter where he bowls, Ashwin is a damn good bowler. I watched him bowl in Australia, and he was excellent “In a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, Chappell stated.

“He’s also quite intelligent. He determines exactly what he needs to do. Although he has gained some knowledge and improved his bowling, Jadeja doesn’t vary a lot. He has the skillset that is ideal for India, and the two of them collaborate, “Said he.

R Ashwin is not Nathan Lyon: Chappell, Ian
However, Ian Chappell noted that replicatingIt’s challenging what Jadeja and Ashwin did to Australia, and Nathan Lyon is not Ashwin. Chappell advised Lyon to play in his natural manner.

While Jadeja took seven wickets in against Ashwin’s bloody good bowling it occasionally. You can’t, in my opinion, imitate what they do. He needs to bowl like Nathan Lyon because R Ashwin is not Nathan Lyon, and he has attempted to do that “Chappell said.
