ICC apologizes for ranking error

When India briefly surpassed Australia on February 15  in the afternoon as a result of a mistake, Australia reclaimed the top spot in the ICC Test team rankings in the evening. After the entire episode, the International Cricket Council issued an apology on their website.

The ICC made it clear that Australia remained the best Test side even if India topped the rankings in both ODIs and T20Is. India was wrongly shown as the top Test team on the ICC website for a brief period on February 15, 2023, due to a technological error, the statement continued. We apologise for any inconvenience we may have brought on.
