With the help of Shubman Gill’s brilliant century and captain Hardik Pandya’s brilliant bowling, India defeated New Zealand by 168 runs in the third T20. India sealed the series 2-1 at the world’s largest stadium- the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Speaking about the game, Rahul Tripathi blazed against the New Zealand bowlers and scored a blistering 44 off 22 balls. However, the innings was all about Shubman Gill, the chief architect in the setting.

The bowlers were punished as Gill brought up his maiden T20I century. The innings of 126* included 12 fours and seven sixes and the youngster was supported by Hardik Pandya and Surya Kumar Yadav, who helped India post a total of 234/4 in 20 overs.

In response, New Zealand’s top-order batsmen failed to live up to expectations and lost half their team for 21 runs in five overs. The Indian bowlers continued to take wickets at regular intervals, and for the spectators – it was an image of an India team victory.

Hardik Pandya registered his best figures of 4/16 in his four-over spell as India beat New Zealand by the biggest margin of 168 runs and took the series 2-1.
