The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have had a difficult start to their IPL 2024 campaign. The team, captained by Faf du Plessis, has lost five of its six games thus far, leaving them in a vulnerable position where each game seems to be a matter of life or death. Next up, and a difficult assignment at that, the Challengers are preparing to meet the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 15.
In the competition, Hyderabad has played aggressive cricket. Players such as Henrik Klassen, Abhishek Sharma, and Travis Head have been outstanding; they have given the visiting team more confidence, particularly when they go up against the bowling attack of the RCB. They may, however, do better in the spin department.
Regarding Virat Kohli, RCB, and Dinesh Karthik have all shown reliability in their play. In his most recent game, Faf du Plessis scored fifty runs against the Mumbai Indians, but his strike rate is concerning. As Will Jacks tries to hold onto his spot, Glenn Maxwell has sustained a thumb injury that could allow Cameron Green to return to the club. There’s a good chance Reece Topley will stay in the starting lineup.
