According to a statement from the BCCI, Iyer has successfully completed his rehabilitation following his back injury at the National Cricket Academy and has received the all-clear from the BCCI medical department.

Shreyas will join the squad in New Delhi before to the second Test of the Mastercard Australia trip to India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, according to a BCCI press release.
