Kapil Dev Prediction: Virat Kohli will score 2-3 centuries in Australia series

During the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023, which is currently taking place, legendary cricketer and former captain Kapil Dev made a very unusual and bold prediction about a current star India cricketer.

India took a giant stride towards becoming a cricketing powerhouse under Kapil’s leadership when they defeated the formidable West Indies in the 1983 World Cup final. Dev has made a significant impact to Indian cricket, and he has now spoken out to predict that Kohli will score 1-2 centuries in the current series.

Kohli, in my opinion, will have an impact: Kelvin Dev
“If he even hits 50, I bet he will score two to three century in this series since both teams will get runs,”2 opportunities. We must remember that, the 64-year-old remarked on the ‘Uncut’ YouTube channel.

It should be mentioned that the 34-year-old struggled with the bat during India’s first innings of the first Test, managing only 12 from 26 deliveries, which featured two boundaries. Kapil is convinced that throughout the entire Test series, Kohli will score at least a couple tonnes, if not more.

“I believe he will have an impact because, as we can all see, he still has a great deal of hunger left in him. The opening game is crucial. His playing style varies if he scores runs. The first Test match is usually crucial when there is a larger player, he continued.

Kapil exitedKohli is a player who understands and has the capability to alter the outcome of any game once he gets going and finds his rhythm, the author continues. Kapil is adamant that starting in the second inning, the right-handed batter will unquestionably improve.

Dev concluded by sharing his thoughts on the hubbub surrounding the Nagpur pitch. He claimed that while today’s pitches are slightly more in favour of the bowlers than they were in the past, when they were more of a “batter’s paradise,” batters can still demonstrate their intensity to score runs.

“There are rumours that there will be turning pitches, but the team can’t possibly make those,”600. All hail the hitters if they succeed. The batters will control the pitches. We can’t predict that 400 runs will be scored because 60% of pitches today are on the bowlers’ side. The price will be between 220 and 250. 300 is a significant amount, so if they succeed, there will be a sense of not losing. Virat Kohli would undoubtedly score runs if the pitches are a little better,” he said.
