Mohammad Azharuddin: Don’t know if it is in the mind of the selectors. Sarfaraz Khan has done well.

In the opening game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy’s 2022–23 season, flamboyant batsman Suryakumar Yadav played in his first Test. He missed the chance to capitalise, though, as the Mumbai-born hitter was out for only eight runs. The debate about his future in Test cricket has once again started as a result of the veteran spinner Nathan Lyon beating him, especially with reliable Sarfaraz Khan watching from the sidelines.

In the ongoing Ranji Trophy, the 25-year-556 old’s runs from six games are notable. Mohammad Azharuddin, a former India captain, believes that Sarafaraz deserves to play Test cricket as a result of his outstanding performance while batting in the middle order. However, he is unsure of the specific reason why Khan is not a Test player.presently a member of the team

The veteran cricketer has backed Suryakumar Yadav and said he wants to see more of Yadav in Test cricket despite Yadav’s poor showing in the first innings.

I’m looking forward to watching Suryakumar Yadav play in the Test matches because of how brilliantly he performed in the Ranji Trophy games, Azharuddin said.

Rohit Sharma set an excellent example and played some incredible basketball as India took command of the Nagpur Test.cricket on Nagpur’s spin-friendly field. Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel, both all-rounders, each produced a half-century to help India maintain its lead with a total of 120 runs from the 35-year-old. Todd Murphy, making his bowl debut, has been spectacular in the meantime. In Nagpur’s opening innings, the youthful off-spinner for Australia took seven wickets.
