Nearly 1000 cricketers register for inaugural Women's Premier League auction

The auction for the inaugural Women’s Premier League is reported to be held in the second week of February at the Jio World Center Mumbai. Ahead of the marquee event, around 1000 cricketers from across the world have registered their names to be a part of the tournament. However, only 100 – 120 cricketers will get a team as only five teams will participate in the first season.

A source tracking the development has confirmed about the same. and mentioned. That there is a lot of participation from both Indian and international cricketers. Meanwhile a host of cricketers have already posted their registrations with players such as Alexandra Hartley and Alyssa Healy. Has also expressed his desire to join Royal Challengers Bangalore for the upcoming season.

Over 1000 cricketers have registered signatures for the WPL auction. Very healthy participation has been expressed from both Indian and International players.

Even though the auction is going to happen in about a week. Still there is no confirmation about the exact date of the incident. However according to a team official of a new WPL team it is likely to take place anywhere between February 11 to 13.
BCCI has invited bids for the title sponsor and has invited bids.
There is no official notification yet. But we are in full swing for the Feb 11-Feb 13 game. This is also understandable. Because SA20 and ILT20 will be in final stages and most of the WPL teams which have presence there. Even three would find it difficult to reconcile the two.

With the tournament expected to begin in a little over a month, the BCCI has invited bids for the title sponsorship for the first five editions of the tournament.
