An unidentified person was arrested for selling fake tickets for the World Cup cricket match between England and India at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Law enforcement said approximately 100 other websites are now under investigation. The Cyber Crime Division of Lucknow Police is gathering clues to identify their operators.
In the last few weeks, fake tickets were sold through the website iccworldcuptickets.com. Misleading website designed to deceive cricket fans busted by law. After that an FIR was lodged against unknown persons at Sushant Golf City Police Station.
