Second Test Day 2 Highlights: NZ vs. ENG By the end of Day 2 of the second Test at the Basin Reserve in Wellington, England had reduced New Zealand to 138/7 thanks in part to three wickets each from James Anderson and Jack Leach. Tom Blundell and skipper Tim Southee were unbeaten on 25 and 23, respectively, following a top-order collapse. The visitors declared their innings earlier at 435/8 after long innings by Joe Root and Harry Brook. With Harry Brook (184*) and Joe Root (101*) at the crease, England had resumed their innings on Day 2 at 315/3. In the second Test against New Zealand, England was well in charge because to Harry Brook’s scorching 184 not out on Friday in Wellington.
