After his performances in the Pakistan Super League, Pakistan’s top pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi appears to be getting back to his best (PSL). During the Lahore Qalandars vs. Peshawar Zalmi game on Sunday, Shaheen bowled two startling deliveries that shook the cricket world. Shaheen smashed Mohammad Haris’ bat for Peshawar on the first pitch. Haris was getting ready to take on Shaheen’s ferocious speed when the left-arm seamer clean bowled him with the very next delivery.
Shaheen has been getting better and better in the PSL, and he blew fire against Zalmi in the very first over of the innings. Shaheen struck Haris’ bat in two pieces with the opening pitch of the over before removing him from the game.
In his third over, Shaheen also removed Babar Azam, sending the seasoned batsman back to the hut for a paltry 7 runs.
Of the 241 runs that Lahore scored earlier with the bat, Fakhar Zaman (96 off 45), Abdullah Shafique (75 off 41), and Sam Billings (47 off 23) scored the most.
Shaheen and Babar’s quarrel was gaining popularity even before the bout began. It’s safe to assume that Shaheen won the match with ease.
When asked about his clash with Shaheen, the talismanic batter Babar Azam’s response surprised the entire media room.
The reporter had just finished saying, “Babar, you usually welcome everyone with a smile on your face, but tomorrow you face Shaheen Shah Afridi,” when Babar intervened.
From here, how do you get there? No khele fir, how are you doing? Ap baate (Shall I remain composed and hold back my tears when I see him? Provide more details Babar answered as everyone started to chuckle.
