Shikhar Dhawan, the seasoned India opener, has revealed that star batsman Virat Kohli is his best friend and that other young players are unable to drag their legs as he can. The left-handed hitter had an interesting reaction when asked if his bond with Kohli has changed since his Delhi cricket mate was chosen captain of the Indian team.
Shikhar Dhawan participated in his final one-day international match against Bangladesh in December 2022. The Indian team management opted to abandon the senior batter after a poor performance because Shubman Gill is in the finest physical condition of his life. The Southpaw has led India in four ODI series since 2021, winning three of them easily with seven victory in 12 innings.
Shikhar Dhawan asserts, “We Have Good Friendships.”
In an interview with The Lallantop, Shikhar Dhawan discussed his friendship with Virat Kohli in greater detail, stating the two get along well and enjoy making each other laugh.
“Virat is a dear buddy of mine. We get along well and typically enjoy some lighthearted banter. He is a senior player who represents Team India. Younger players can’t trick him as well as I can. He is important. He has achieved a great deal. We have radiated humour and friendliness ever since we first began playing, Dhawan remarked Lallantop.
The song “There Will Be Ego” by Shikhar Dhawan
Although Shikhar Dhawan made his international debut before the star opener, Kohli is older than Dhawan at the national level. When asked if having more experience hurt his ego, Dhawan responded that it was useless.
“To fight it out with Aygi He Aygi, Agar Ego Par Lelogey That is, in fact, ego’s baat agyi. If you take it personally, you’ll suffer. Thus, it turns into an ego problem, isn’t it? If I still think I’m a senior and that I’m serving as his assistant. That will result in ego. Everything feels like useless guesswork to me. Additionally, that is not essential. No use, “said he.
