Former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar compared Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, saying that while the latter was a stronger leader, Tendulkar was a better batter. According to Akhtar, the 49-year-old couldn’t establish himself as a captain and quit.
Virat, though, is supported by Akhtar, who thinks the cricketer would perform when his mind is clear. The former seamer used the T20 World Cup 2022 as an example to point out that Virat can control the game if his head is free of any distractions.
Sachin Tendulkar is the world’s best batsman. He was lost, nonetheless, as a captain. In an interview with Bol News, Akhtar stated that the captain had resigned on his own.
I was speaking withVirat Kohli, and we were having the same conversation about him. He confused but once he clear his head he will perform. He dominated the T20 World Cup when his mind was at ease, the author said.
The veteran cricket player praised Virat Kohli for his earlier accomplishments. The 47-year-old recalled how, in the past, Virat Kohli’s century had helped India win games.
You should also note that nearly 40 of Kohli’s hundreds came during run chases. I heard that you give Virat a lot of praise. Why shouldn’t I do that, I merely ask. Virat’s hundreds helped India win at one point, Akhtar continued.
Virat’s performance in tests is concerning.by the Indian team
In the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Virat Kohli is struggling to build high totals despite making strong starts. He has scored 111 runs in his first three games, which is a lot to be concerned about. Similar issues are being experienced by Shreyas Iyer as well, which is why India’s middle order has been struggling thus far in the series.
The Rohit Sharma-led team will look to strengthen in this area and win the fourth and final Test in Ahmedabad in order to get to the World Test Championship finals.
