Shreyas Iyer declared fit for Delhi Test

The BCCI announced on Tuesday that Shreyas Iyer has been cleared to play in the second Test against Australia in Delhi (February 14). As a consequence, following receiving approval from the BCCI Medical Team, the middle-order batsman will join the team in New Delhi.

Iyer has missed recent New Zealand ODIs due to a back issue that has kept him out of action for about a month. In the ODI series against Sri Lanka last month, he made his final outing for India. Iyer wasn’t able to join the group for the first Test in Nagpur despite being nominated to the Test team for the Australia series.

 

Suryakumar Yadav was given a Test debut in his place. The daring batter barely managed to make 8 The swashbuckling batter made only 8 India won the game by an innings score in the lone inning. Iyer, who lately secured his berth in the XI is now anticipated to rejoin the XI in Delhi. The second Test will start on February 17 and last for three days.

Axar Patel, Mohd, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Ashwin, and Mohd Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Suryakumar Yadav India won the game by an innings score in the lone inning.
