The Indian team is in search of its third ODI World Cup title. He is one of the strongest contenders. But Shubman Gill is suffering from dengue and is not in a position to play the World Cup game yet.
Shubman Gill could not play the match against Australia on Sunday and was then ruled out of the match against Afghanistan. Shubman’s platelet count dropped below 1,00,000 per microlitre. Later he was admitted to a hospital in Chennai.

The good news is that he was discharged from the hospital on 9 October. And the BCCI medical team is monitoring him. Will join the team only after getting approval from the doctor.
India, Pakistan will face each other in the ODI World Cup 2023 on Saturday, October 14 in Ahmedabad. The positive news for Shubman Gill is that he is recovering and will be back on the field soon.
