Following Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians Women, the UP Warriorz became the third team to reveal their gear for the Women’s Premier League’s inaugural season. The jersey made its official debut on Tuesday on the Warriorz’s social media page. The sleeves of the jersey, which feature a silhouette of Rani Laxmi Bai, a legendary liberation fighter and a symbol of female power, are accented in a darker purple colour to contrast with the jersey’s predominant yellow colour.
Alyssa Healy, an Australian who has won the T20 World Cup five times, will lead the UP Warriorz. The management decided to put its trust in Deepti Sharma rather than elsewhere. For Rs 70 Lakh, Warriorz hired her.
Deepti Sharma, a member of the UP Warriorz, was the player who cost the most during the Women’s Premier League auction, at Rs 2.6 crore. Six international athletes are on the 2023 UP Warriorz WIPL roster. Sophie Ecclestone, Tahlia McGrath, Grace Harris, Alyssa Healy, and Shabnim Ismail.
Former England cricketer Jon Lewis will serve as the team’s trainer. On the other hand, Ashley Noffke has offered to be the bowling coach, and Anju Jain has been selected as the assistant coach.
