The BPL 2023 season is about to come to an end with Rangpur Riders and Sylhet Strikers playing Qualifier 2 in Dhaka on February 14. Rangpur beat Fortune Barishal in the Eliminator, while Sylhet lost to Comilla Victorians in the first Qualifier, to set up the Qualifier 2 encounter.
Comilla Victorians have already qualified for the title game after defeating Sylhet Strikers in the first qualifier. Following league play, Sylhet Strikers and Comilla Victorians, the top two teams, qualified. Rangpur Riders qualified as the third team, while Fortune Barishal qualified as the fourth team. The Victorians must now stand up for their throne.
In 2023, the Bangladesh Premier League will have 7 teams. The teams that make up this group are Fortune Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Dhaka Dominators, Sylhet Striker, Rangpur Riders, and Chattogram Challengers. This year marks the start of the ninth Bangladesh Premier League season.
The contest will occur on February 16. The current season officially began on January 6, 2023. The three teams who placed last in the standings were Khulna Tigers, Chattogram Challengers, and Dhaka Dynamites.
During the league stage, there were a total of 12 games in which each side took part. Every team competed against every other team twice during the league round. The top four teams at the end of the league stage in terms of points qualified for the playoffs. The championship game will be played in Dhaka on February 16.
