A significant dispute in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) occurred just hours before the first match of the inaugural season. Due to an injury, the Gujarat Giants have named Australian all-rounder Kim Garth as Deandra Dottin’s substitute. The West Indies, however, disregarded reports that she was injured and claimed on social media that she is in good health.

The Giants said in their statement that they were unable to obtain Dottin’s medical clearance, which is required in order to play in the WPL. When she receives the go-ahead from her doctor to participate in the league, she will join the team for future competitions, according to GG’s statement.
Deandra is a top-tier athlete who was a great addition to the team.
