As one of the best batsmen in cricket these days, Nicholas Pooran once again ignited a conversation with his bat in the 15th IPL 2024 match between RCB and LSG, scoring 39 runs off just 20 balls.
In his innings, he hit five sixes, three of which came in the last over of the LSG innings as he easily split Reece Topley’s exquisite southpaw. Pooran lofted Topley over the point for a maximum on the second ball of the over, giving rise to the first six.
More About Nicholas Pooran :
On the next ball, Topley tried a yorker once more and threw it full, which Pooran hammered for another six over the covers. But the big one arrived arrived last as Topley attempted a brevity, slower delivery. With lightning speed, Pooran grabbed it up and lofted it outside the field, over mid-wicket.
With two more sixes in the last over, the Caribbean pocket-dynamite elevated the LSG total above 180—a score that is regarded as batting nirvana.
