After an impressive win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to begin IPL 2024, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 26. Meanwhile, the team led by Shubman Gill defeated five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their last match.
Players like Mohit Sharma and Rashid Khan took charge of the bowling department in their opening matches. But Gujarat team needs improvement in batting. Gill and Wriddhiman Saha provided good starts and Sai Sudarshan provided good pace but struggled to get ahead after a while. Their middle order was struggling. And middle order is one such area. On which the team needs to pay attention.

On the other hand, Chennai performed very well under the leadership of new captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. Bangladesh international Mustafizur Rahman performed well with the new ball, taking four wickets. But Ravindra Jadeja proved economical on a surface that helped the batsmen. Rachin Ravindra gave a good start to the franchise in batting. The New Zealand international scored 37 runs on 15 balls. While Shivam Dubey and Jadeja played to the best of their ability to get the job done on their home ground.
Gujarat is leading 3-2 in the head-to-head fight. But last year the last defeat was against Chennai in the final of IPL.
