Virat Kohli delivers a batting performance while guiding Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the 10th match of IPL 2024 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Virat Kohli‘s brilliant unbeaten inning of 83 took RCB to a competitive score of 182/6. Due to which the stage was set for a great fight against KKR. Apart from Kohli’s brilliant performance, his candid reaction during the innings break made headlines.
It was a real surprise to see Kohli, known for his intensity on the field, receiving the Orange Cap from Cameron Green. That there was no schedule for his interview. This simple gesture from cricket maestro Kohli serves as a reminder. That even the greatest athletes don’t have moments of authenticity.

KKR became the first foreign team to win this season. Chasing the target of 183 runs, KKR’s aggressive batting paved the way for their victory. Despite Kohli’s stellar performance, KKR’s powerful batting lineup proved too strong for RCB with an impressive bowling performance.

After the game, RCB captain Faf du Plessis reflected on the match. And acknowledged KKR’s dominance while recognizing the challenges facing his team. He praised KKR’s batting performance and acknowledged the difficulties RCB bowlers faced in containing their opponent’s attack.
It’s a strange thing. We thought in the first innings. That the wicket was very fast. You can see that the team struggled when throwing cutters. We thought it was a good score.
