IPL 2024 : Andre Russell impressed with Ishant Sharma yorkers

Andre Russell was enthralled by Ishant Sharma‘s yorker. It’s impossible to ignore his response. Ishant Sharma dazzled Andre Russell with a brilliant yorker during Wednesday’s IPL 2024 match between the Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders. Russell was knocked back to the pavilion by Ishant’s devastating delivery that slammed into the stumps in the last over of KKR’s innings. Russell couldn’t help but appreciate the way the video of his dismissal was delivered, even as he walked away because it had already gone popular on social media. His effort was insufficient, though, as KKR defeated Delhi Capitals with a huge total of 272/7.

Kolkata was led by rookie Angkrish Raghuvanshi‘s half-century in his first IPL game, and Sunil Narine’s blistering 85 runs. On Wednesday, Knight Riders score 272 runs against the Delhi Capitals.

More About Ishant Sharma :

Narine carried on with his brilliant form, punishing every Delhi bowler equally and hitting the boundary seven times in his 39-ball knock.

The Capitals gave up the biggest score in the team’s history, and they were left to lament their bowlers’ disappointing effort. KKR scored 28 fours and 18 sixes.

Playing a short ball from Khaleel Ahmed to the deep point, Narine hit his maiden boundary. Ishant Sharma, a veteran West Indian fast bowler, was highly regarded after amassing 26 runs in the fourth over—three sixes and two fours—which hinted at what was to come.

Conversely, Phil Salt attempted to have some influence prior to David Warner dismissing him, but the The Englishman failed to capitalise on the break and was removed off the pitch with the very next delivery, forcing Raghuvanshi to reach the crease.

On his opening ball in the IPL, the 18-year-old youngster struck a boundary and then another one.

In the powerplay, KKR amassed 88 runs and continued to hit boundaries as DC bowlers found it difficult to contain them.

Russell had other ideas, but it appeared that DC was winning the game because they were routinely eliminating Raghuvanshi and Narine in overs.

The all-rounder was given full tosses by the DC bowlers, which he easily despatched past the boundary.
